I'm new to the forum and am introducing myself like everyone else. I've been interested in cooking for as long as I can remember, but only just began to be any good at it a few years ago! ;)

I have trouble keeping myself from making enough food for an army every time I cook, but luckily leftovers are a wonderful thing. I am looking forward to exchanging ideas and learning through the experiences of others! :)

Hello Madam Rose, and welcome to Chef Talk. As a culinary student, you'll be interested in participating in that forum as well as in the Professinals' forums. Our search tool will help you locate what you need quickly. I'm sure there are posts and threads on portioning, etc.
