Last weekend my boyfriend and I had a family dinner to go to and each family was supposed to bring something to share. When I first popped by ChefTalk, the gazpacho article was the first one to appear on my screen.
And let me say....I love gazpacho. I'm no connoisseur by any means but I'm a little picky because when I lived in Spain for 6 months, the two "senoras" I lived with made it all the time and it was amazing. They actually gave me the recipe before I left and sadly, somehow in all the shuffle, I lost it.
But have no fear! A couple years later, ChefTalk to the rescue! I made the gazpacho from Chef Joe George's article...and it's delicious (and definitely has a lot of the same flavors as the gazpacho I miss so much). I highly recommend it. I was actually a little scared about the 2 hot peppers so I only put one in to start, but 2 is really the magic number. It's got great kick and leaves you wanting another bite but it doesn't scald your mouth.
In any case, that's a very long and overdrawn way to say thank you for the recipe! It's in my permanent collection now. :-)
