I saw something posted here a while ago about Keens clogs and I looked at them and they look like something I could wear. I'm quickly discovering that the safety shoes I was told to buy when I was hired are not great at all for 10 hour days on one's feet! (and after a fair amount of abuse it's time for a new pair) So.. my question is, are Keens available in Canada and I did check their website it was not helpeful at all. The Keen hiking shoes are but that isn't what I am looking for at all. I want to try both Keens and Danskos if I can and then decide between the two what feels best for me.

Several years ago I had a line cook drop a pot of boiling water on my leg. Try getting a "safety" shoe off fast in that situation. There are some good safety reasons to wear clogs. They do make steel toe clogs as well so you can get the best of both worlds.

Well I've looked at the options and I am going to go with steel toed clogs.. they seem to be the safest out there. So after the kids are off to school I'm heading to Burlington to the store that sells the clogs and after that I'm going to stop in at Ikea as it's on my way home and we need more glasses as the kids keep dropping them or stacking them wonky so they fall when we open the cupboard door.

I ended up going with the mens dansko clog. I have wide feet and the ladies clog was just a tad too tight. OMG they are sooo comfortable my feet are in heaven!

Thanks Hanratty! I am a total klutz though so it's been a challenge to walk in clogs but I have to say I did much better today than I did yesterday and I only fell out of them once. (we're not going to discuss how many times I did that yesterday ok...LOL)

Mine are a 42.. and today I didn't stumble out of them at all so I must be getting used to them.

Yeah these shoes are really beneficial for you back, once you get used to them you will be in heaven!:chef:
