I went to my niece's for supper in the Old Port of Montreal and had a wonderful supper. She served up a smoked salmon lasagna and arugula salad.
As for the wine....I could not believe what I tasted.

This wine is called, Manage A trois by Folie a deux Winery in the Napa valley. (my keyboard does not have accents for french spelling of letters)

This is A Full flavored wine with rich berries and a hint of pepper with notes of raspberry and cherry, tastes of chocolate with light tannins. This wine is a blend of Zinfandel, Merlot and Sauvingnon.
For anyone who does not like red wine because they find red wines to be too dry, well this is the wine to taste. A bottle can range from $8.00 to 13 dollars.

There is not much that this wine will not go with , be it your filet mignon or a great hamburger.

Full Bodied Red Wine...

Do you happen to know if this wine is distributed nation wide? $8 - $13 is an great price for a good quality wine!

I happen to like dry wine myself, is this wine very sweet, or is it a nice combination. There is a such thing as too sweet in my opinion, but then again most people would say that I have rather unusual taste buds.:D

I know this thread is about the wine but salmon lasagna? Never heard of that. It sounds surprisingly good ;)
Great description on the wine. I tend more towards the dry reds, but I would give that one a taste.

To answer both your questions, the wine is so full bodied , that your taste buds just burst open. The wine is sold all over and has become a big hit.
As for sweetness ? Because of the rich berry flavors, it did not come across as an overly "Sweet Wine" but takes on both the dry and the sweet overtones. I am not one to recommend wines per say but when I taste something terrific and out of the ordinary, I must speak up. It ranges in the $ 8.00 to 13.00 range and you can buy it virtually everywhere, it is no "Gaja" , but for the price , I would even go so far as to pay $ 20.00 for it. I would be interested in knowing your thoughts if you should try it.

Yes, my niece made a tasty salmon lasagna . If you were to google the term "smoked salmon lasagna" you will find alot of recipes. It is a dish just full of flavors and just when your mind has settled on the the fact your eating lasagna , all of a sudden you get a supple hint of salmon, the dish plays a trick on your mind as it were, it was a nice surprise.

I'd agree - that's a nice wine esp. for the price. (though I think the white version is pretty awful stuff.) If you enjoyed this, you might also consider trying some syrah's. I think you'll find that berry taste you seem to have enjoyed in those as well. Since they are not as well known as cabs and merlots, the prices usually range about $8-12 or more. Cline Syrah is a very good example, with a price of about $9.50 at Costco, a bit more in the regular store.
