Welcome! When you have a chance, if you like, stop by the Welcome Forum/ and tell us a little about yourself.

Yes, you have come to the right place. :D How simple or complicated are you looking for? Probably any seasonable vegetable, steamed or sautéed or roasted would work well. For a starch, I might serve some steamed brown rice or a pilaf of brown rice and wild rice -- a nice vehicle for that sauce, and has some texture.

Is that the sort of stuff you mean?

Welcome to the site and you may also want to try to professional end of the forum as well as an owner/operator, you're entitled.

You could also do a cous cous as a side as well. You can get a lot of flavor variations with it as well from sweet to spicy...

Again, welcome!

I'm thinking buttercup or acorn squash. I'm trying to "taste' the peppercorn/ pear in my head as to me it is very unusual. Maybe a little orange zest in the squash to echo the pear? Don't know, as I can't get the flavors together in my head. I associate squash and scalloped corn with duck as my grandpa used to hunt wild duck and it was a fall thing. Or maybe a wild rice cranberry side dish would work. I always stuff my ducks with apples, celery and onion (discard after cooking) because I like those flavors with duck. Braised red cabbage with apples? Might work. Some ideas to kick around anyway.

thanks for your input. I actually made the duck breast with the pear and green peppercorn sauce and received very good reviews from my customers. I served it with this gourmet brown rice I have and roasted carrots. I like the idea of some type of a cranberry relish. I will give it a try. Thanks again
