anybody know where in Bay Area I can buy frozen sour cherries? I don't want canned or jarred. I've called every grocery store and speciality market I can think of. Only resource I found was a place in Michigan where the shipping charge for 5 lbs. was $100. Not in my budget.

Hello Dr. Fred and welcome to Chef Tallk. I've moved your post from the Welcome Forum to the Pastry and Baking General Forum which is a better place for it.
We grow some wonderful cherries here in Wisconsin- we're not all about cheese. ;)
Good luck with your quest!
