sunflower oil

Thread Starter
I have a recipe that calls for 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil. I don't have, nor have I ever used, sunflower oil. My question is this. Is there another oil that is interchangable? I have walnut, canola, sesame, olive, and peanut oil in my pantry right now. The recipe is for cream of mushroom soup...am I stuck buying the sunflower oil or not?

Thanks for the help!

I believe peanut oil would probably be fine.

On another note, I'd advise throwing out your canola oil. It's come out that canola oil is not fit for human consumption (never mind the fact that the extraction process makes canola oil rancid before it ever gets to the store!! ewww!)

Roon, roon, roon. Before one disseminates inflammatory information one should delve a little deeper into the facts. As it's widely known the internet is full of haoxes. In this case it's not so much a hoax but and I quote This link was in another link. I'd encourage you to read it and think twice.

I wish I had gotten it from an internet link, or that it was a hoax. I've gotten that bit of information from several sources, which I'll have to look up now (I must get better organized!!) I don't believe it is false information, though, but I will look.
