hello iam Daniela123 and iam pretty new to this busness.i have my own baking business since feb of this year.I made a big dog cake and had issues with the gel food coloring bleeding off of the fondant and modeling chocolate. What would cause the red to bleeded off of the collar (fondant) and the eyes and nials which were made of modeling chocolate .Why would the gel food coloring bleeded.I painted the food coloring with a brush in the eyes of the dog and the nail. The collar i used red gel food coloring and mixed it with the fondant.

You would need to mix the paste or powder color with a clear alcohol or lemon extract, that would evaporate and set your color.
Also, keep the fondant dry by boxing and wrapping the box in platic when you put it in the cooler.
