Cake decorating book/resource?

My girlfriend has always been the baker between us, but has more and more recently been becoming interested in the actual designing and decorating of cakes, but she has no actual patisserie background. What I'm hoping is that some one here in the baking community can recommend a good informative book or some resource that can help educate her in decorating technique and know how. She is likely to in the future head into it at a professional level, so I'd love to see her get a start on it at the home level. Can anyone help us with this?

Thank you all in advance.

Decorator's Bible by Alan Dunn

The essential Guide to Cake Decorating by Jane Price

Wilton has a good one as well.

These are good starters for learning technique.

I think that books are great, but seeing the techniques in action are priceless. I cannot recommend these videos enough:

Sugar Ed Productions

Just click on the links on her site. The buttercream dvd would definitely be the first one that I would buy.
