Ice Cream Flavoring? Help

Anyone know where to purchase ice cream flavorings? Appreciate your help on this.

I use regular extracts available at any store for my ice creams. Or if you're making vanilla ice cream, you can use a vanilla bean or two. Just add the scraped bean to the liquid when you scald it. For chocolate use cocoa powder. For something like peppermint ice cream I use about 1 tsp of extract (not oil) per batch that my ice cream maker will make. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your help. I was thinking about the various flavorings used in some of the ice cream shops. The customer picks a flavor and any added ingredients (nuts, cherries, etc) and the custard or soft serve or ice cream (vanilla or chocolate) is added to create a one-of-a-kind treat.

Bubbamom, do you mean you want to offer blend-in creations such as at places like Maggie Moo or Cold Stone Creamery?

Mezz, yes, exactly - - well not exactly, not me, but my daughter and her husband have opened an ice cream and sandwich shop. She's experimented late this summer with various fruit mix-in's and asked me where to get some of the flavorings we encountered while doing some "research"

Absolutely. Thank you so much Petalsandcoco. And if you're ever in central Wisconsin, stop on by!
