I'm the new "Kid" on the block. Just signed up for Chef Talk. Love to cook, saved my sanity by not opening the restaurant. My culinary paint brush goes from gourmet hamburgers to nine course tasting menus with matching wines. I love to collect wines have had the expensive hobby for 30 years and have a 800+ bottle cellar.

I have been teaching "hands on" cooking classes for several years to small groups in my home.

Looking forward to sharing the collective cooking knowledge.

Hello - welcome to ChefTalk.

My husband shares your expensive hobby re wines! We go to France two or three times a year, and always have to take detours to visit vineyards and champagne places, to indulge his 'hobby'!

I hope you will make time to read some of the wonderful articles on here - ditto the photography. Lots of amazing info and photographs - well worth the side-trip!

I hope you will jump in on any thread you find interesting, or even start your own. We have all levels of expertise here - from those just starting out on their culinary journey, those of us (like me!) who are enthusiastic amateurs, to masterchefs.

Certainly happy to give information - as for advice...? Naaaaah, everyone has to discover their own favourites - and not so favourites!

We love France! How the car survives buying wines/cheese/foodstuffs and gets back home in one piece is often a miracle!
