Lift A Glass of Cheer

Don't know how many of you realize it, but today is a very special anniversary.

It was on December 5 that Prohibition was repealed, making it possible for Americans to, once again, left a glass of cheer.

So let's all do that very thing in celebration.

My great grandfather was not pleased at all about prohibition being repealed :rolleyes:.

I wonder if anyone celebrates with a speakeasy party?

Sounds like a great idea. Maybe I'll plan on one for next year.

A local winery celebrates by putting many of its labels on sale. But that's not the same thing as a party with a speakeasy theme. I can see it though as the sort of thing a bistro could do with little effort.
