Wow. I hope he plans on taking care of his staff. That has to be a major bummer for them. IIR I read in the past that he claims he always lost money on the restaurant. My guess is that he makes the big bucks on his books etc.

ElBulli always lost money, as I understand it. But the Adria brothers have made a great deal of money in the hotel business -- not exactly sure in what capacity. Everything I have read about the Adrias suggests to me that they will take very good care of their staff. Ferran Adria, for example, is very hard to back into a corner about what he himself does -- everything is about what we have done, together, as a team. I hear he means it.
