What is your favorite sparkling wine?

Personally I like white champagne and prefer it over Asti and Cava, I can't stand most red sparking wines, although I did have a sparking shiraz that was excellent.

d'Asti for sure!  my favorite aperitif or dessert wine.

for dinner or for celebrations, i prefer prosecco

Prosecco can be anything, good or bad, Asti usually is mass produced but there are good ones. Champagne is in general always good (sorry to admit this, I might be banned from Italy!!!)

Korbel Brut is my standby.
Chandon White Star is lovely, but the Korbel for the price does me fine.

I have to agree with the champagne vote.  I did drink quite a bit of cava when I studied in Spain but I generally like champagne better. Korbel is a standby in my family too.  A couple of years ago, we had a taste test of Moet Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Korbel, and the Kirkland (i.e. Costco) brand.  The Kirkland brand won!  Another specific type I like a lot is Scharffenberger.

I love love love Bollinger Champagne and Veuve Cliquot but if I am looking for something a little cheaper Lindauer is pretty good and so is Hardy's Sparkling Chardonnay.

Anderson Valley (Approx. $20)

This delicious California sparkler starts off toasty and nutty, then reveals its flavors of citrus, green apple, and pear. Incidentally, Roederer are also the people who make the champagne of choice for celebrities, Cristal, making this truly the rock-star champagne for the rock-bottom price.

Piper Heidseck demi sec... I know there are other piper Heidsecks, but this is the only one i've tried and I absolutely adore it, we keep it for when we have a cosy night together without family.

Sunny afternoons = Prosecco.fromLidl, or pear cider on ice

Sounds nice Bughut....

The Schramsberg 2006 “Blanc de Blanc Brut” is great because of the hint of lime and apple, blend is 100 % Chardonnay.

Nicolas Feuillatte came out with a nice one from France....has notes of caramel and pear with a dry finish, its great with seafood.

Gloria Ferrer made a great sparkly with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir , first hint is melon which is so enjoyable.

I would love to try “ Bollinger Vieilles Vignes-Vintage “ .

All time favorites will always be Dom and Moet.
