I would really like to plan a ChefTalk gathering for those in the Chicago, Wisconsin, Midwest region (all are welcome of course).

  1. Are you interested in meeting up for drinks/apps and chat? Post below
  2. Would Saturday March 27th work?

We used to have get together in the past but they have kind of faded out and I would really love to meet more ChefTalk members.
Thanks,

Nicko

I might be able to swing it.  Seems this Spring is very quickly filling up on my calendar this year!!!!

Cool let me know for sure so I can plan a location for us to meet. I am thinking "The Publican" would be a great spot.
Thanks,

Talked to the wife.  We should be able to swing it.  A lot will depend on her Dad, who has cancer.  We would be staying with them and depending on how he is doing, would mean whether they feel up to babysitting for the evening or not.

I'd love to, but we won't be in Chicago until May.  Hope you all have a good time though!

Unfortunately, my daughter will be competing in a scholastic competition in Madison on that date.

I think I could make either date.

I was hoping to be in Chicago in June or July. Alas I'll be in North Carolina.
Our Chicago cheftalk get together was so much fun & Kahans cooking is great (ate at Black Bird with Momoreg) Nicko, remember you took us to a place for cocktails before Aruns, Had my first Gorgonzola stuffed olives in my martini. BTW, is Aruns still as incredible as it was when we had dinner their?

Will have to work on another east coast/Ct/NYC reunion.

If you do get together, have a blast!!

Nicko, that date won't work for us. And missing Publican.... oh! When is the food show? Is that NRA or something else? We've got a wedding in the family in mid-May. You know I'm eager for a GTG!

Why don't we try to plan something for May? I will figure out a date and we can plan a little farther out. Thanks.

Sounds great. I think hotels are pretty well bocked around the food show dates, though. Perhaps a little later?

My schedule is always hit or miss, but if we want to try for something later in the Spring that would be fine with me also!  I'll try to make it any time.  I've been wanting to get to Chicago and try the Publican.

When you come to Albuquerque,  count me in.  Maybe you could plan to attend the National Fiery Foods Show -- in March...well, maybe too short notice for this year,  but something to plan for 2011.

Nicko-
Get-together in Chicago is a really great idea, and we're probably available most any time. We attended an LTH Forum dinner blast in December and loved meeting the people we'd been schmoozing with for several years. I hope you pursue this!

Maybe a little longer lead time to allow for schedule adjustments.
