Commercial Kitchen for Rent in St. Louis

Thread Starter
Hello,

I am a new chef starting a catering business in St. Louis.  In order to operate within the city I need to rent a commercial kitchen.  I cater events usually consisting of 100-200 people and need a space with the capacity and equipment to create high quality and specialty foods.  If you know of anywhere that rents their kitchen space in the St. Louis or surrounding area it would be immensely helpful.

Have you had any luck finding a kitchen?

Have you tried the St. Patrick's center? They have a incubator program called Begin. It's a place where new businesses can get a good start. There is a shared culinary kitchen that is certified that, if you join can be used for all kinds of food related businesses. Right now we have caterers, bakers and us. We are a small food processing business that produces Cuban style black bean products that we sell to grocery stores. Our company is called del Carmen. They have all the equipment that you would need. The center is located downtown on Tucker. Not sure the exact address or phone#, but if you are interested let me know and I will get the info for you. The directors name is Jan, in case you find the info yourself. My name is Patty and if I can help in any way, let me know. Good luck.

Hi pattyh, my wife is starting a small business making custom cake pops, cupcakes, etc. I've heard about the St. Patrick's Center kitchen. Are there any catches involved in that?

I am also interested in looking for the possibility of a rent kitchen. Although I live in Illinois. I would like to start a party food catering business. I saw the begin thing, I thought that might be too intense for me yet. I am just starting out.

Hey guys! Here's the deal. I'm looking for a kitchen (and preferably a small party space for around 30 people) in Saint Louis. My father is turning 70 in a few months, but I live here in Texas! I'm wanting to throw him a surprise party catered by me with all of his favourite foods! I don't want to spend an arm and a leg (especially if I have to bus people in!), but I don't mind decorating a space on my own. Does anyone have ANY clue where I could find something suitable? I would prefer a kitchen on sight (though not 100% necessary) because it would allow me to serve more hot food and not have to worry about transportation of some of the more precarious foods via SUV.

Thanks!

Hi Patty,

What are the rates for renting the commercial kitchen at St. Patrick's?  I am starting a small business and can't afford huge rent rate as it takes most of my profit.

Let me know.

Thanks

Sal
