Hey I'm a line cook and I start culinary school in the fall I have to buy a knife set and I started a wostof clasic set I have a nine inch chef knife and a basic paring knife a know it all first cook that I worked with for all of two weeks told me I just threw my money away before I finish my set I want to be sure Im buying the right one. Two other chefs said they were a good investment provided I learn how to use the stone correctly. I'm looking for some advice. Ps I don't like the feel of the japan style knives so that's out of the question Thanks :)
