can't tell if someone is still logging in and at least checking responses

Thread Starter
in the old format, you could check a persons profile and see when they last logged in. I used this for a lot of the single posters on the forums. if I saw they had not bothered to log in and check for responses, I didn't bother to answer the post. If I saw that someone was at least logging in to check on things I would post a reply as I felt it wasn't a waste of time. Now you can't tell when they have last logged in. I will be ignoring a lot of single posters from here on out.

I would also be interested in how to see that nothing like a fire and forget post that they never come back to.

Interesting approach, guys.

I take a slightly different tack. If other members are discussing the subject, and it appears to have appeal beyond the file & forget poster, then I don't think it's a waste of time to reply. The OP may not be around, but other members are.

You can go to the person's profile and look at their activity feed and see what was the last date and time they posted, reviewed a product or anything like that.

Also, it is worthwhile to reply because the thread title will get indexed by the search engines. Someone searching for that topic at a later time will see your responses.
