So there i was, just writing in a thread here and a screen pops up saying that my computer is infected. Usually i am very suspicious unless it's my software. But this window looked like a Windows window. So I push the OK button and here it comes- a virus that acts like it's a virus removal tool. It took me a couple days to get it figured out, but man...!
Oh well. I love to learn- and most times, it's not fun.
Used a malware removal tool to get rid of 11 infected files; computer runs faster too. I think there were other files infected before the virus.
ok. i edited this to remove a thoughtless remark about "sharing."
