Cheesecake Trouble, Advice Please

I have been trying a new cheesecake idea and i cant seem to get it to cook. It is layered lemon cake, raspberry cheesecake, lemon cake, raspberry cheesecake. I tried cooking the cheesecake without a crust and then baked the lemon cake on top. The top cooked but the center did not. So i then tried it the opposite way and used the cake as the crust to the cheesecake and it didnt cook at all, however the cheesecake did. I baked both in a water bath, and before i try again i was hopping to get a little advice. Thanks

The required cooking environments are too different. This is something you assemble after cooking everything separately.

Thank you, i was going to attempt to cook the cake and then cook the cheese cake on top of it, hopping it wouldn't dry out the cake. Thanks for the advice

There's already a long thread on this subject, in which everything you need to know is explained.  Please take the time to read through it: http://www.cheftalk.com/forum/thread/58636/how-do-you-make-this-cheesecake
