I'm Doug and from Portland, Oregon.  I'm the "Cooks at Home" type who's always looking to improve.  First I just wanted to say thank you to all the regular contributors who've already helped me so much.  I hope in time that I'll be able to help others in some way.  The information and advice posted here has been invaluable to me.


I'll post when I have something to say but mostly I just enjoy reading the insight from people who obviously know their stuff.  Thanks again for maintaining a great site!
