My mom used to make these cookies sometimes...but she called them something different. I didn't know that these cookies were the same cookies till i put the first pan in the oven(:

Anyway, so i made these cookies "Butter Fingers" by Lady & Sons Savannah Country Cookbook. And they were good. However, when i was mixing it all together it got all crumbly and wouldn't blend together. So, i put about 4 1/2 tsp water in there and then i kneaded it with my hands so it was in a ball, then i put it in the fridge for about 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes i took it out and started rolling them into balls, they were still just a bit crumbly so i had to press it together and then roll them.

I left them in the oven for about 25 minutes...and they were..which i dont think they are supposed to be. so i would suggest leaving them  in there for about 20 minutes maybe. I coated them in powder sugar twice. Once when i pulled them right out of the oven and another when they were thoroughly cooled.

I love these cookies. They really are delicious....they have pecans so if you dont like pecans dont make them(: but they are good.(: try them!
