I'm going to be in San Diego/Camp Pendleton area for Christmas and am looking for suggestions on what restaurants to go to and places I should visit. any ideas? also probably need ideas for a place that's fairly reasonable(cheap) to take a bunch of hungry Marines to for Christmas Day.

Pass on the restaurants, and do a barbecue. I'm sure hungry marines would appreciate that more than anything else.

Haven't been there for years, but we enjoyed the Gaslamp Strip Club the last time we're there. It's a steak house where you get to grill your own steaks indoor. It's a fun place. The food is good....if you know how to grill.

 

I do not remember the names now but enjoyed a few places over in Old Town. There's a place where you can watch the ladies make and grill the tortillas and you can just buy them off the griddle. There are bowls of salsas for dipping the warm tortillas in.

thanks for the ideas. the barbecue is a nice idea, but there's no place for me to pull it off. and i'll be on vacation. biggrin.gif the boys will just have to be happy with the suitcase full of cookies that i'll be bringing with me.

ooo, come on for christmas the best is a barbecue made in the backyard.....anyway i haven t been in san diego, but for the summer i am planning to visit it...so i will look carefully for any post about nice restaurants around there
