Green Smoothies - What Fruit/Vegetables go together well?

Just curious if anyone else here makes green smoothies? I've just made my first one which consisted of 90% mixed fruits/10% mixed vegetables and yogurt (from what I've read, the ideal is 60% fruit/40% vegetables). It turned out ok, there was some sour tasting vegetable in the mix that hurt the flavor somewhat but it was still fairly good.

What combination of fruits and vegetables do you like to use?

Thanks

Only one I make is a gazpacho as a drink, rather than a soup.

The three main ingredients in approximate third of each.

The veg = lebanase cuke peeled and deseeded then roughly chopped

- dash of Worstershire or Tabasco sauce, depending on what you prefer

- celery -.  Take off the tough fibres on the outside, then roughly chop

For the fruit- tomato, roughly chopped.  If you can be bothered to skin it, do so, or sieve it all afterwards

All into the blender with with another third of ice (yes, I know this makes 4 thirds smile.gif ). Blend until smooth S&P to taste.  Sieve if preferred then keep chilled till ready to serve.  Good splodge of greek yoghurt to dress.  Very nice on a hot day.  Can include some leaves of shredded mint or sprigs of watercress, whatever herb you have handy, too when serving, adds a nice touch.  And no, it is predominantly red, not green, but it's along the lines of what your talking aboout I think.

Delta -  what ingredients did you use?

I'm not 100% sure as they came straight from the can. I believe the mixed fruits were green grapes, peaches, and perhaps pears. The mixed vegetables had brocoli, green beans, sweet peas. I added about 1/2 cup of plain non-fat yogurt as well.

From reading around I believe the brocoli was the culprit for the poor taste.
