The Mair Lid Lifter

I don't know if this is stocked anywhere outside of the state of Utah. If not, the rest of the country is wallowing in a sad state of Dutch Oven Accessory drought. Well, their dealer page indicates it's mostly the midwest and east coast who have to suffer.

While I like the Lodge Lid Lifter, elegant in it's lack of moving parts, the Mair is far more functional.

http://mairdutchovenlifter.com/  They ship so if you live in a product benighte part of the world, you too can enjoy the power and control the mair offer.

I have the tall one. I have a low heat threshold and this keeps me far from the heat. Plus I don't have to stoop.

Hey, the link isn't working because there is a space at the end of it. I did find  the product, though. Great idea - certainly will save some eyebrows.

The Mair Lifter is essential for Camp Dutch Ovens, I own several.

But they dont fit a South African Potjie Pot - you need a special lifter from South Africa.
