What Do I Do?! Help Me!

Hello, my name is Mei. I am 14 years-old. I want to go to culinary school when I grow up. But there is one huge problem. I am a Buddhist so I am not supposed to take lives. I want to ask anyone out there, if there is any way that I can still go to culinary school AND not kill anything at the same time? I saw competition shows where contestants are supposed to kill a life animal like perhaps a crab or a fish. I know that working with fresh ingredients is very important but is there any way, at all, that I can avoid this? Please help me. Thank you.

The only live thing you mat? have to deal with is a Lobster, or Crab. On that day just don;t do it Everything else is dead already
