OK. I'm bored ......

 

Just a couple of things I've been contemplating (although it is 19:39 and not yet late night)

 

- Why can I order a knife and whetstone all the way from Japan to Holland for 7 U$ and just getting one book from Holland to Holland is costing me 6.5 Euro (about 8.5 U$)?

 

- My newly ordered knife is going to be in Holland way before me.

How am I going to deal with the crappy knives here, knowing that my dad or my brother will get their hands on my brand new gyuto?

(luckily they are not going to query the price as I've ordered from JCK and the invoice says 20 U$ or so)

 

- how many more glasses of red wine can I drink and still feel great! Should I just go and visit the lodge about 10 km away to annoy them? Sorry, just to go and wish them happy New Year? (the next lodge after that is on the other side of the Kafue river and the ferry stopped going about 2 hours ago, so they are safe)

 

Ah decissions decissions.......

Sure,

Just difficult if you run/own a lodge..........

Just find me a replacement that will work for peanuts....

Beautiful location, right on the Zambezi river, hippo's and crocodile's around, 17 hour working days, food and booze on the house...

Anyone interested???

do i get my own hut, a riding hippo and guard croc?

I had to look up hogmanay: We call it a Dindindi over here!

Had a good one as well. Croc and sheep on a spit...

as long as you have a bit and reins, I'll ride it bareback.  ok, i'll use a riding blanket..hippo skin is scratchybiggrin.gif

A hut.  Guard crocs are overrated as they can turn on you and they will only eat so many live chickens before complaining and demanding that they be de-feathered first.  Riding hippos will make you bow-legged and they like muddy water too much. 

 

A hut... you can live in a hut, you can name a hut (pizza or jabba, your choice), though to be forewarned that the big bad wolf will choose a grass hut over a stick hut, so choose the stick hut.

how about a riding croc and a guard hippo then? is that easier?and if my hut was on giant chicken legs NO ONE would try to come near it to blow it downbiggrin.gif heh

Crocs sit too low to the ground.  You'd be dragging your legs everywhere.  Guard hippos poop a lot.  You may call them giant chicken legs, but the colonel sees them as big ole drumsticks.  He'd be chasing you tossing 11 herbs and spices at you.

Our guard & riding crocodile.

Bit is not yet ready, Phatch is working on it as he found the hippo one to difficult bounce.gif

 

Make sure to bring mask and goggles as crocky has been known to go of the beaten track

My suggestion is that you not use a bit on him until you get some dental work done.  He needs braces badly and appears to have a pretty bad overbite as well.  Of course, once you get the teeth straightened, a bit will only get them out of whack again.  I fear it's a no-win situation.

Snaffle or curb?  Curbs make croc's necks look so graceful.  But, maybe a hackamore instead.  A sheepskin nose band would make a definite fashion statement.

A hippo would be a messy ride - they swirl their tails when they poop and it gets in your hair and omg it's not pretty,  Plus they bite worse than crocs.  I think riding side saddle on a croc would be best so it's easier to run if they get mad
