I am here to learn as much as I can before I go into culinary school. As of right now I am a home cook who specializes in baking/pastries. I have been baking since I was about 10 yrs old and now I want to be able to finally have a career in something that gives me great joy. I also currently write in a blog about pastries/desserts that I sample from different bakeries, while being a critic in taste and texture.

We have a membership drawn from around the globe (I'm Scots!) and all levels of culinary expertise - from those just starting out on their culinary journey, to masterchefs - and all levels in between.  I love to bake - and have attended lots of cooking courses around the globe, mostly in Europe.


Feel free to join in on any thread you find of interest, or start your own. The blogs, wikis, articles and photographs on the site are well worth a look.  There is a specific forum for culinary students which you may find helpful.
