The prime rib I made was small just for the two of us so it was difficult to carve nicely. My hollandaise came out a bit too runny and the potatoes overcooked a little. But the flavor was there eventhough it lacked in good looks.
Don't be too hard on yourself Koukou. I'm sure your Valentine dinner was made with a lot of love, the main ingredient. I'd love to eat your dish any time.
I agree, those shrimp hearts are to die for, very clever. How did you get them to stick together?
Yes lots of love went into my dish, I say I love you with meat lol. It was just hard to get a good carve on the roast because it was rather small and hubby is no expert. I think I could've carved it better myself but he was my valentine and he wants to be the carver so I let him.
The potatoes, just plain boiled potatoes, then tossed in a little olive oil and fresh dill. And I didn't show it in the picture but I smother them in hollandaise too haha!
Sorry for the link, can't get my photobucket pic to appear on the reply.
The only criticism I would have... and it's meant constructively. so please don't take it wrong.. next time pipe your whipped cream, don't use an aerosol can.
Not a criticism at all. I agree the canned stuff was just a short cut. Not the best. I was rushing.
Thanks for the comment.
[*]Koukouvagia , I used cheap ingredients, no prime ribs. so I had to go for a lot of smoke and mirrors. [*]
And thanks everyone for your wonderful comments also.
