Hello every one!

Thread Starter

As the screen name suggests I was a cook in the Navy for close to 7 years. I'm out and in culinary school at Johnson & Wales Charlotte campus. Civilian life is great so far learning a lot. Just joined for any advice I may need as I'm sure there will be plenty and I look forward to chatting with you all. Take care!

Welcome to the site!

We have lots of students on here, and there's even a specific forum on the site where you will be able to exchange info with others who find themselves in the same boat as you (sorry, I couldn't resist that pun, and yes, I do know that naval vessels are ships!)

Feel free to join in on any thread you find interesting, or start your own topic.  The wikis, blogs, articles and photography on the site are all well worth spending time examining.

I hope you will son be interacting with our members from all over the globe!

Wow how cool you were in the navy. How many people were you cooking for each day? Must be so different cooking on a ship. Very interested to hear your input.

Welcome

Thanks,
