Hello, my name is Billy is and I'm a foodaholic. Haha, for real though I'm a 24 year old line cook from Maryland. I just recently joined and have been browsing through the forums and seeing what you guys are all about and I'm excited to be a new member of the community and I look forward to gathering the knowledge you collectively have to offer. I have a strong, strong passion for cooking and even though I've only been in the business for 6 years, I think I've found a great field for a career. When I'm not in the kitchen I'm on the baseball diamond, I enjoy playing and following the game. So in summation: line cook with three loves 1) food 2) baseball 3) waitresses hahaha. Hope to be greeted with a warm welcome!

One of my first internet knives. Great blade. I mean *great* but the handle was a bit weird. Right now it just sits at the bottom of my knife kit.

I've owned one of these for over 3 years now, using it daily. I've never had to sharpen (grind) it, just an occasional run along a fine steel, and it's held a wonderful edge for everyday prep....

Hello and welcome to Cheftalk.
Our membership is from around the globe (I'm Scots - so I know little of the rules of baseball, except that it's the more manly version of our school game called 'rounders!)
The site has all levels of culinary expertise, from those just starting out, to masterchefs - and all points in between. So, any questions you may have will get a lot of replies. If you are willing to share your experiences, that'd be great.
The articles, wikis. blogs and photography on here are all worth a second look. There are also a LOT of reviews, too.
I hope to see you around the boards.
