Bonjour from a Brit living in France

Hello to so many people in all parts of the world. Ca va?  And such an active site with lots of enthusiastic newcomers that love food !! Good to be part of a like-minded community!

Having searched through all my coookery books,  I was looking for a forum because I have a problem that I was hoping a professional chef or serious cook could help me out with and I found Cheftalk!  

Cooking is part of my life and I never stop learning or experimenting.  I  really appreciate how plants and animals are tended and reared in all parts of the world. I love being here in this rural part of France, I count my blessings everyday.  

I will put my question on the Q & A Forum and write a bit on the Personal Profile.

Thanks for the welcome Ishbel.  This is the first time that I have been involved in a forum, so it was a bit scary about what to do and finding my way around the site.  There seems to be so much of it!  

I started a thread yesterday  - had a question about Brown Stock and was surprised that some people took the time to reply and with some sensible advice which will be helpful for when I do my next batch in April.

Glad you like France so much - you have obviously got good taste!!

Thanks for the welcome Nicko.  This site is just what I was looking for - like-minded people that are generous with their time and willing to share their knowledge.  

There is so much to see in Paris isn't there?  Such a pretty place.

I will be gradually exploring the site  - I love reading the threads - you can learn so much and having the joy in  Oooh I never thought of dong it that way!  Amazing!
