Recently, it seems as if the new restaurants in Nashville are setting the tone for either "best [this or that]" or "worst [this or that]" according to critics in local magazines. Have any of you stopped through to find the food something you'd be sure to come back to Nashville for; or did the experience scare you away?
Best or worst dining experience in Nashville?
Nashville native here...
first off, my biggest pet peeve with the local magazines here, is that they hardly offer good in detail reviews about these restaurants and we get so little of them to start with. But, I would say its in the middle. A lot of the really good food places here, are the small restaurants no one know about. I've met a quite of few people who love Prince's Hot Chicken & and Pancake pantry, but other than those, no one's really thrilled about the restaurants here. Usually because they don't know where to go and settle for the franchises
I just moved from nashville to indianapolis and, thinking back on our dining experiences, my wife and I really only enjoyed eating at a couple places in Nashville. Demos' was our favorite and the Pancake Pantry was a close second. Other than those two, I won't be missing any other local restaurants.
