Hello and welcome to ChefTalk. Yes, we are an active site here, with members from around the globe and all levels of culinary ability. There is a forum for culinary students, where you might like to see what current culinary students and their tutors are up to!
Feel free to start your own threads in the relevant forum, or join any that you find interesting. The professional fora are read-only for those of us not currently working in the culinary trades - but give good insight of what's really going on in kitchens! The articles, wikis, blogs, reviews and photography here are great, too. The photography will give you great inspiration, I'm sure.
