Hey guys im new to the site but not new to the culinary business.
i have been a line cook for 2 years and a dishwasher for my first 3 so i know my way around a kitchen. ( i am only 19 btw)
cooking is all i know and i just want to know if it is going to be the right choice for me. i have worked at 2 nice restaurants. i just started at one of them and i am going to be in charge of the downstairs line which can do up to 4,000 a night during the summer. it is mostly barfood down there but i am ready for the challenge.
would this kind of experience grant me way to furthering my career?
i am at a standstill with school though. i have completed two years of general courses in college and dont know where i want life to take me. i am starting to think that school would be a waste at this point except to get my foot in the door, which my experience would already allow me.
just a hello and a little feedback would be awesome from the chef's that i am sure prowl this site.
