Hi I'm pregnant so I must be cautious about food safety and so I was wondering if cooking pork ribs for 5 hours in the oven at 200F will be safe enough to eat.

Yes...

All the nasties should be killed at that temperature for that duration. Don't forget your folic acid!

A meat thermometer is handy

Welcome, Cherisa.

I agree.

All pork or foods made with pork must be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 155° F. Pork ordered "well done" should be cooked to at least 170° F.

Here's more information on food safety in the following

Thank you

Thanks folks for both your replies... I just finished the ribs after 5 hours of being in the oven at 200F and they turned out perfect. Thanks again for all your help!!!
