I just joined and I am looking forward to this site. I'm not the best at computers, but I'm going to try my best. I am 40 years old, and I am thinking about getting a job as a cook/chef. Can anyone give me some advice? I've never been to culinary school, but I believe I have what it takes to make it. I've been cooking since I was about 4, with my mom. I really enjoy cooking different ethnic foods. My favorite is Indian, French, and Italian. What's it like to work as chef? I know it gets hot in the kitchen, it's fast paced, not the best of pay, but I think I would enjoy it. Thanks.
