I am a big fan of Nature's Own Honey 7-Grain Bread. I've made a few breads and rolls in the past by hand, and bread machine, but nothing too fancy. I purchased a can of 9-grain cracked cereal mix in a 3.75 lb. can which contains Spring Wheat, Winter Wheat, Soft White Wheat, Corn Grits, Barley Grits, Steel-Cut Oats, Cracked Rye, Millet, and Flaxseed.
I looked at a few different recipes and they are not consistent on wheather or not to soak the cereal in warm water before adding to the recipe. Does anyone have a tried and true recipe? Is it real important to soak the cereal, as I am not looking to break a tooth?!
I would prefer a recipe for the bread machine if possible.
Are there any tips you can provide for working with the grain cereal or other recipes it would be good for?
