Sorry I haven't been around..

I've been busy doing things that do not involve the internet.

I'm working on getting my business up and running and still looking for work... I've had a few interviews and one cooking stage but so far nothing has come my way job wise.  I know that everyone and their cousin is looking for work right now so it will take me a bit to land something I suspect.  (the kick in the pants that I need to get my own business  up and running and finally do the etsy thing and sell alot of the things I make)

I've been busy helping a local family too.  Their daughter and my daughter have been friends since grade two and this family are some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet.  Sadly the father was severely injured in a workplace explosion back in April and now has to deal with being permanently blind.  I've sent over meals for them and I'm helping with the benefit that the mom's siblings are planning to help the family with alot of the expenses that OHIP and WSIB will not cover. 

So I'm around.. just not online so much these days

Sweet...there's a cheque in it for me??  Too bad I have to wait until Canada Post goes back to work before  I get it... (we're in the midst of a postal strike right now)

I've got an interview tomorrow and another one on Monday.. sooner or later something will pan out I'm sure.  I ran into my former AKM today and he was saying that things at the diner are still the same.  He's leaving at the end of this month as well and they have yet to replace me and they haven't hired a replacement for him yet either.  The owner actually assumed that once I was gone he would stay, but his leaving has nothing to do with my arrival, it's just time for him to move on. 

No I don't think so.  Yes they would take me back but after talking to the former KM from there and some of the kitchen staff, I don't want to go back.  I remembered why I wanted to leave after that! 

Hmm... apparently you haven't seen some of the mailwomen around here....  LOL
