Looking for a creamy cookie icing recipe

Hi, all! I've got a peaches n cream cookie recipe I'm wanting to try and I want to top it with a creamy glaze, something that would harden like sugar cookie glaze so that it wouldn't be messy when I mail it to friends, but have a creamy rich flavor. Does anyone have any recipes for something like this?

Must be divine intervention or something. I just learned about fondant today while watching a baking show on TV about cakes. Then when I was preparing my homework for tomorrow's class there was a section in the chapter concerning fondant, and now your reply... Curiouser and curiouser. :)

 

Thanks, poured fondant seems a good way to go. I'll have to try and and see if it works out!

You can try this cookie glaze recipe. It will dry to a hard, shiny finish. Here is how you make it:

 

 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 10 drops food coloring
 

Stir confectioners' sugar, corn syrup, and water together. Stir in food coloring if desired. This glaze must be stirred each time you use it. If it is not stirred before each use it will dry with a mottled look instead of a solid color.

Are these the glaze that you see those cookie bouquet uses...some of these cookies look like fake..hard as a rock..I have tried once to make cookies on lollipop with no luck.  They were too soft and not stick on the lollipops..anyone have a decent tasting cookie recipe
