New here!

Thread Starter

Hey everyone,

Glad to be here! My name is Greg (Gregory but no-one calls me that!), I'm 20 years old and I love cooking, I love trying out new recipes and I just want to exchange on this new habit (passion?) with people like me from around the world!

So, I'm always up for a culinary challenge, and I love trying out new recipes!

Thanks to everyone,

PS : if anyone can recommend a new cooking book, I'm up for it, I just finished my last, it was awesome but I feel like I need to try something new!! I like anything, but I especially like cooking books which refer to a wide range of cooking cultures, whether it be Asian, American, European, ... Thanks!!

Hello Greg and welcome to Cheftalk.

If you want to join in on topics with people from around the world, then this is the site for you!  Our membership is spread around the globe (I'm Scots, for instance) from Australia to Malaysia to France to Spain, as well as New Zealand, Canada and of course, the home of Cheftalk, the USA! The ability levels are also wide, from those just starting to cook to masterchefs and all stages in between.

There are lots of interesting topics on here - and the wikis, blogs, articles, reviews and photographs are also well worth spending time to view as they will give much inspiration to you.  Feel free to join in on any thread you find interesting, or start your own in the relevant forum.  Please note, though, that the professional fora are read-only for those of us who do not presently work in a culinary trade.

There is a specific forum for cookery books, which you might find interesting, and there are also lots of reviews of books on the site.
