After 7 years, we just can't take it anymore. I have not been happy for a long time, but just dealt with it. While, I have been pretty happy with the cooking ability: roasting and broiling, baking has been uneven (that could be me). But there are other annoying things that drive me crazy. The self clean stopped working, the temperature probe stopped working, outer markings outside the dials have melted away so now I am constantly using a sharpie to approximate where each cooking mode and degree is located, the glass on the interior doors are filthy and can't get clean, one door won't close completely and now one broiler is dead. So, it is time to replace it. I've searched multiple reviews and message boards and can't seem to find anyone that loves their ovens and meets my criteria who has purchased one recently (manufacturers constantly are upgrading and changing things). If you are out there, please let me know what you have in the double oven category. Here is what I'm looking for:
Able to be hot/cooking in both ovens simultaneously for long periods of time - 12-20 hour cooking sessions are not unusual (2-3 days a week, 4-5 hours a day other days).
Exterior markings that do not erase/melt off with oven heat and cleaning solutions (I am wary of electronic displays, but can be convinced otherwise if the above cooking times won't influence).
Broiler in both ovens.
Self cleaning (a not obnoxious smell would be a plus)
Convection oven in at least one oven.
Very strong warranty and helpful customer service in addition to not having problems that need service -problems always happen the morning of a big cooking event.
No auto shut off.
MInimal pre-heat time (if possible).
Easy glide racks.
