Hi. I'm trying to find a recipe for a cookie I had years ago. They were called Benne Wafers, but the recipes I've seen do not seem like they'd produce the same cookie. They were small squares, about half an inch high, crispy but not as crisp as a brittle. The benne wafer recipes I've seen say the cookies will be flat and crisp. The praline recipes don't seem right, either. Can anyone help?
