Calling to check on my application

What is your policy on taking calls for people checking on their applications? Even better question is, what do you tell people who call to check on their applications during peak business hours?

 

Anyone who has worked in the restaurant business should know NOT to call to check on an application during peak hours. I realize some people don't know that. In the past, I have always shown up in person during non-peak hours and asked to speak with a manager. What are your thoughts?

checking an application by phone during peak hours would result in a filing into the circular file.

Same with donations, anything mailed gets filed in the garbage. Anyone taking the time to come in ,gets a donantion.
