Pimp my bacon

Bacon is bacon.  It's good on its own.  But is there a way to dress it up besides brown sugar?  I'm getting bored with plain old bacon for breakfast.

Rough black pepper or peppercorns might put a zing back into your bacon. Have you tried that?

  • Maple syrup glaze
  • Thick sliced, breaded with cracker/panko, baked in the oven
  • Rumake, bacon wrapped around chicken liver and water chestnut, marinated in a soy/teriaki/asian sauce
  • Cuantro glaze
  • Chili-chocolate powder

@ Pete McCracken:  I've got to try the panko crusted bacon with maple syrup glaze!  I'm a novice home cook but what's a Cuantro glaze?

My bad, Cointreau (I really cannot spell crazy.gif, I should never try phonetic spelling) is an orange liqueur, others in the same vein are Triple Sec and Grand Marnier.
