My name is Derek and I have had a passion for cooking for several years but just recently taking a more serious interest in the culinary world. I have been reading several books on technique...such as Knife skills( henckels) and Jacques Pepin's book of techniques. I am a hairstylist by trade( 20 years) and have looked in taking culinary courses ...due to my love of cooking.
My best friend and I cook frequently and use presentation and take pictures to post on FB. My friends tell me i should change careers...lol
I had been using Chicago and Calphalon cutlery but since ive gotten more serious about cooking i have recently purchased a few Wusthof Classic Ikon pieces. 10" chef.. Paring and filet knives. I love the way they feel and their performance. all my cookware is "All-Clad"
