International velvet, the  Malbec Grape ... Argentina ...

Dense, dark and powerful, here are 2 Argentinian Malbecs which I have truly enjoyed:

1) Argento Malbec - Sainbury D.O.

Made by the respected Catena Winery, the pioneer of single varietal Malbecs, this is a best value style with ripe plum fruit, hints of cocoa and spice in the finish.

2) Terrazas de Los Andes Reserva Malbec - Selfridges D.O.

The wines are grown on terraces in the foothills of the Andes at approx 1.000 metres above sea level. A muscular well structured red with a complex silky mouthfeel and a whiff of smoke and cocoa that wraps itself around the rich cherry fruit.
