Hi, I recently got promoted to Kitchen Manager. This is my first time running a kitchen. Hopefully I'll pick up some tips here.

Let me add my welcome too! Good luck with your new job. I know you'll get great ideas from the professionals here. You might start by doing a search in one of the professionals' forums, because there could be buried treasure in earlier discussions. In 11 years, I'm pretty sure we've generated some information you can use. smile.gif Besides the discussion forums we have cooking articles, cookbook and equipment reviews, photos and a lot more. Our community is a truly international one, which provides a richness many other sites lack.

 

How did you get into the restaurant field? Were there people or experiences that inspired you?

Thanks for the warm welcome, I got into the restaurant filed because I am a foodie and passionate about cooking as well.
