Torte Rings?

Good day to all,

 

I've problem looking for torte rings in my place, what is it made of? my friend told it is made by stainless steel. is true?

 

Im planning to head out to a Metal seller store, and look but i dont know what's type of steel it is. planning to make irregular shapes such as teardrops, Oblong, Triangles etc.

they usually come in heavy duty stainless steel (w/ mirror finish) or Aluminum  about a 16 gauge so.
