I wan to duplicate a commericial cake mix like Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker mix at home.  I am working on a product that I would like to put on the grocery shelf.

I need a recipe for a from scratch  yellow cake that calls for a total of 18 ounces of dry ingredients that includes shortening, 1/3 cup oil and 1 1/4 cup water.
